Feels Like Home

This painting is 10" x 8", with a nice thick frame to complete it. Although oftentimes I start with a general reference and end up trailing away to create my own piece, I also enjoy the challenge of recreating a meaningful photo for someone. Scenes like this make me very much okay with living where the air hurts my face! It makes me want to curl up by a fireplace with some hot chocolate and Christmas music playing :)
