The Eyes Have It
Hanging 30" x 24", this is one of my favorite experimental pieces I've created. Mostly acrylic, the iris is filled with layers painted first with a palette knife, then dry brushed over the top. The white of the iris and the eyelashes were drawn on with a Sharpie paint marker. At first, I thought about using a gray scale color scheme everywhere except the iris to make it stand out more, but I can't stop staring at the colors now! Overall, I absolutely love how this piece turned out, and my favorite part was bringing it in to see the reaction. :)
